Season 5

Season 5

Gregory House, M.D., (Hugh Laurie) is an antisocial medical genius who heads an elite team of young experts tasked with unraveling diagnostic mysteries at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. Irreverent and rude toward everyone, his complete lack of social skills is matched only by his brilliance as a diagnostician. Although his antics and unconventional behaviour often create friction between him and Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), the hospital administrator, she acknowledges that his skills make him worth the trouble.

In Season Four, the set-in-his-ways House orchestrated a series of major changes to his diagnostic team and narrowed down 40 applicants to three, hiring plastic surgeon Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), enigmatic “contestant” number Thirteen, Dr. Remy Hadley (Olivia Wilde) and enthusiastic, radical thinking Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn) who join neurologist Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps), Cuddy’s eyes and ears on House. Former team members immunologist Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) and intensivist Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer) no longer have to answer to House as Cameron heads up Emergency Medicine and Chase is working in Surgery at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.

As Season Five kicks off, we see the tattered remains of House and Dr. James Wilson’s (Robert Sean Leonard) friendship. Blaming House for the death of his girlfriend, Amber, Dr. Wilson left Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital and broke off his friendship with House. In the aftermath of his devastating bus accident, House finds himself trying to piece together the truth behind the events which resulted in Amber’s death.
